the digits give up 
when creative juices stop flowing 
slowly slipping on paper
trying to catch words using a mousetrap
words that ran away a long time ago 
and aren't coming back soon 
you picture blocks in your mind
in between the spaces
the fission takes place
art splits 
and the ink waits to be poured 
the mind is in a state of strange affliction 
in halves but never divided 
I was wrong. 
the cycle of life giving life to life begins 
words get drowned out by the mind 
and are welcomed again
parts, places, pain, 
people, pills, pride
art, alive, answers
awareness, ages, attitude
bright, blue, burning
beauty, bounty, bravery
tarnished triumph tripping 
tickling the twigs twice 
intriguing intuition in infinity 
washing words with winters
frozen frostbite from forests 
falling, fainting, fleeing 
craving cooked cradles 
crashing coconut's cot
drawing, dying,dreaming 
elegant, eager, entertaining 
muted, mumbling, murmers 
grinning, grumpy, geese 
raining, riding, reading
hiding, hindering, holding 
juggling, jarring, justice 
losing, leaving, longing 
nails, networks, needles
open, odd, oranges 
kurkluffle, kaleidoscope, keys
zillion, zestful, zealous 
quirky, quick questions 
stupendous silent sleep
unwilling underestimated understand 
violins, violence, vines 
young, younger, youngest 
xenolithic xenial xenon
giving rise to 
a fusion of ideas
in the jungle of a head, 
in the mind's maze

OTHERWORLDLINESS

Real and imaginary - art by Luro I was transported  to another world to another realm    days don't preceed nights here I was there  but not fully "there" a piece of me was here  but the remaining pieces were elsewhere  travelling through the metaphysical space  I knew about what "otherworldliness" meant  but it sounded too good to be true, or too bad to be false  I couldn't decide so I didn't take sides didn't want to.  incoherent mutterings tickling my ears My body— still but not all that still  Between freezing and melting  into nightmares  into dreams  abounding with hallucinations  ethereal but not so ethereal  stages of sleep paralysis  my supine self was going through  shuddering and shuddering  involuntary movements had a hold on me I wasn't sure which world I was in the real or the unreal It was hard to differentiate  no sense of time or space  no sense of "self"...

SEARCHING FOR MY SHADOW

I saw flashing signs asking me to turn back, to watch my step, to be careful of the road ahead  or behind, everywhere I went. I was afraid of moving further  but couldn't stop myself from  following the glow of the moon  as it lead me through the night I was in hot pursuit of my shadow  that cut ties with me a long time ago. My shadow knew what it felt like to follow me  and I knew what it was like  to live under it.  Therefore, it decided to run  and disappear somewhere.  Somewhere I wouldn't be able to find it.  And that's how the story went until the ghosts gave me the skinny. Finally, I found it.  I found the one I was searching for!  My double! My intangible doppelganger!  My eager eyes looked and looked  at my shadow  bathed in incandescent light  surrounded by tenebrosity.  - Luro
